Stormers winger Sailosi Tagicakibau says he would love to play for his country again but admits a call-up isn't occupying his thoughts.

The 31 year old made his return to Super Rugby at the weekend in the Stormers' 14-13 defeat to the Crusaders in Christchurch.

The 21 test veteran had spent the past eight seasons at London Irish and last played for Manu Samoa at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Tagicakibau is open to a call-up for June's Pacific Nations Cup but says his immediate focus is adjusting to his new life at the Stormers.

"Never rule it out. If the opportunity arose to represent Samoa again then I'll definitelty take it but, I think, at the moment I'm just focusing on get a chance to play well and find some form throughout this competition."

Sailosi Tagicakibau and the Stormers next match is against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday.
