Papua New Guinea cricket coach Rarua Dikana says their partnership with Sri Lanka continues to evolve and has great benefits.

The Barramundi's wrapped up a fortnight's long tour last week, where they won four of seven matches in both Twenty20 and 50 over formats.

It's the second year PNG have sent a team to Sri Lanka and Rarua Dikana says it's proved to be very valuable.

"The guys that are organising this tour have been very helpful and very willing to assist in our development, which is a sign of a good relationship beginning to [be] established between us and them and for us to establish such a relationship, because we get to play against some of their test players, their former test players, current as well, and a host of their first class players so our boys get some quality cricket, very healthy for our cricket and especially for our senior players".
