The trial of former Manu Samoa winger, Muliagatele Brian Lima, on violence charges has begun in Samoa.
The defendant allegedly attacked his former wife, business woman Lemalu Sina Retzlaff, on several occasions.
He is facing seven charges including assault, grievous bodily harm, threatening words and carrying a dangerous weapon.
