Mr Jacklick took over as head of Marshall Islands Immigration last year and has instituted a series of deportation actions against foreigners who overstayed their visas.

He says this is something Marshall Islanders are only accustomed to seeing in movies.

The head of the police, George Lanwi, says police are taking this threat seriously and will expand their resources to identify the culprits.
