Fiji PM still coy about his pay

The Fiji regime leader continues to refuse to say how big his tax-payer funded salary is, but he has told people in Rotuma that he will disclose it soon.

FBC News says Rear Admiral Frank Bainimarama dismissed suggestions that he was being paid nearly one million US dollars a year.

He says people will find out what he earns and owns once he registers his political party.

Last year, the attorney-general repeatedly failed to keep a promise to disclose his and the prime minister's salary, which is alleged to be larger than the pay of the US president.
