Heavy rain affects parts of Fiji

Rain has eased in the Central and Western Divisions of Fiji and the Road Authority reports river levels are dropping quickly.

Over the past two days some regions have got up to 200 millimetres of rain.

The weather office in Nadi says there is a still a flood alert in place for low lying areas adjacent to and downstream of the Navolau Station.

It says an active trough of low pressure is gradually moving eastwards.
