Following a decision to build a 2,000 room casino in Saipan in the Northern Marianas, a local company has revealed plans to build a 350 room resort in the heart of the island's tourist district.
DFS Saipan, which owns the largest luxury retail store on the island, says it will build the hotel across the road from its store.
The company says a top design firm is now preparing a conceptual plan for the resort layout.
