The only community college in the Northern Marianas says it will be forced to increase tuition fees if it does not get more government assistance.

The Northern Marianas College's Board of Regents chairperson, Frank Rabauliman, says a management recommendation to increase fees is on the board's table right now.

The college's president Sharon Hart says the college needs 7.9 million US dollars.

Its current allocation from the government is 4.6 million.
