Samoa to fix SIDS media center problems

Samoa's CEO and national coordinator for the Small Island Developing States conference says there are problems with the technical works on the operation of the media center on audio visual and television broadcasting.

Fa'alava'au Perina Sila says the government has hired a New Zealand movie company which has the expertise to do the job at a cost of around 100,000 US dollars.

The UNDP has also been asked to provide assistance for the September event.

Hundreds of media people are expected to cover the conference, which is to attended by about 3,000 delegates from more than 120 countries.
