The Papua New Guinea Hunters have completed their relocation to Kokopo, meaning the team will have a lot more time up their sleeves for future home games.
Previously, the team had to fly from their base in Port Moresby for both home games in Kokopo and away matches in Australia.
Head coach Michael Marum says the travel was very taxing for the players who can now look forward to training, sleeping and playing all within a short distance.
"We've moved down here to Kokopo yesterday and we had a training run in the afternoon. The atmosphere is good back here and it's good for the team. We're based at a lodge here [and] the boys are settling in and the home ground is just full 20 minutes away from the training fields and stuff there so it's really perfect for us."
The Hunters are fourth in the Queensland Cup standings going into this afternoon's round 14 clash against South Logan Magpies, following a narrow win away to the Central Queensland Capras last weekend.
Albert Patak has shifted to fullback to replace the injured Adex Wera, while Thompson Teteh has failed to recover from a badly corked thigh.
