The Manu Samoa coach Stephen Betham has named a 31 man squad for the Pacific Nations Rugby Cup and upcoming Italy games.

David Lemi will captain the side which is mostly made of up players that are scattered around the world.

The majority of the team arrived in Apia on Monday and six players involved in the European finals over the weekend are making their way over.

Samoa host Tonga at Apia Park this Saturday and Betham says they always expect a tough game when they play the likes of Tonga or Fiji.

Betham says it's always a challenge to put together a team within a week but most of the players selected are not new into the Manu.
