American Samoa's governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga will remain in Hawai'i for several more months for medical care.
Lolo has been in Honolulu since March after being hospitalised in Washington DC for an unknown illness.
The governor's office says Lolo is expected to be away from the territory for up to three more months depending on his health.
The governor's executive assistant, Iulogologo Joseph Pereira, says Lolo is working out of an office in Honolulu.
