Sport: Fiji test must-win territory for 'Ikale Tahi

Tonga rugby coach Mana Otai says there won't be many secrets in this afternoon's crucial Pacific Nations Cup clash against Fiji in Lautoka this afternoon.

The 'Ikale Tahi let a half-time lead slip in their PNC opener against Manu Samoa last weekend, needing a penalty goal in stoppage time to salvage an 18-all draw.

Meanwhile Fiji beat Italy 25-14 in Suva despite conceding two penalty tries.

Mana Otai says Tonga must win today to keep alive their chances of winning the Pacific conference, and progressing to the PNC final later this year against a team from North America.

"For us this is the old triangular series and this is a rivalry that goes well well back. For us this is our final really: they know what we normally bring to the table and I guess the set piece, although they looked vulnerable there last week, I'm sure they will be far better this week. Some of the boys who obviously showed on both teams last week a little bit rusty because of different phases of fitness, and in terms of season, so it's just trying to make sure they're as fresh as they can be, and just as well organised as well."
