Duadua Resort on the Volivoli Secular Road will be developed by Quality Property, and another multi-million dollar project, Golden Point Resort, has also been confirmed as a new option for tourists.

The Provincial Administrator of the province of Ra, Kelepi Kubunameca, says the construction of the resorts as well as the ongoing operations, will stem the flow of locals heading to the major centres for work.

"Because of this tourism we are retaining our locals, and utilising whatever talents they have, especially in carpenteries, in engineering, and other locals' employment, which we are currently using to stem off urbanisation, for they are moving to Suva and outside Raki Raki."

Kelepi Kubunameca, says Raki Raki, on the north of Viti Levu, is unique as tourists can view both the sunrise and the sunset.
