PNG due to sign agreement with Japan

The Japanese prime minister is due to sign an investment agreement during his visit to Papua New Guinea later this week.

The Post Courier reports prime minister Shinzo Abe will address the business community at a breakfast meeting in Port Moresby on Friday morning.

He is then due to meet with the PNG prime minister Peter O'Neill and his cabinet to sign the PNG/Japan Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement.

Prime minister Abe will also visit Wewak to meet with Sir Michael Somare and his wife before a visit to the Japanese Peace Park.
