Man deported to Samoa to face sex charges

A 37-year-old man wanted by Samoan authorities for alleged child sex offences has been deported from the United States.

Vaiaoga Leatuvao was charged in July 2013 with the rape of four female students at a Samoan school for disabled children where he was working as a teacher.

According to US media, Vaiaoga Leatuvao entered the US on a six-month visitor visa in September 2012 and had remained in the Seattle area until he was arrested last August.
