PNG students and university at odds

7:17 am on 15 July 2014

The University of Papua New Guinea has threatened to cancel the second semester of the academic year if students don't go back to class this week.

PNG Loop reports the university's Vice Chancellor, Professor Albert Mellam, saying students have been given all available avenues to express their grievances about the recent political scandal.

Professor Mellam says the students have had their chance to air their views, and it's time for them to return to classes.
