The police in Indonesia's Papua province have arrested 21 people including a 15 year old for alleged involvement with activites by the separatist Free Papua Movement on Sunday.

The Jakarta Post reports the residents of Jayapura were returning from the inauguration of new members of the National Liberation Army for West Papua.

Papua police are reported to have made the arrests after hearing shooting from a truck the group was travelling in.

The paper reports the police later visited the alleged site of the inauguration ceremony and confiscated documents, uniforms and banners.
