Cape Air cancellations prompt CNMI AG move

The recent cancellation of some services by Cape Air in the Northern Marianas has prompted the Attorney General's Office to solicit complaints from consumers.

The Office says consumer protection complaints involving airlines must be provided to them no later than next Wednesday.

It says it has received several complaints about airlines, particularly involving Cape Air's service to Guam, which the company says have been cancelled indefinitely after issues with its aircraft.

The Marianas Variety reports the Office says the US Department of Transportation is the agency responsible for enforcing airline consumer rights and protecting people from unfair or deceptive practices.
