Tahitian surfer Tuamata Puhetini has been knocked out in the second round of the Billabong Pro at Teahupo'o.
The qualifying winner finished with a total of 12.50, with a best wave of 7.83, but was no match the World Tour's second-ranked Joel Parkinson from Australia, who recorded an impressive total of 17.17.
The remaining local hope Michel Bourez advanced to the third round on Monday local time after winning his opening heat.
