Sport: Semi final berths up for grabs at Oceania Tennis Champs

12 players remain unbeaten after two days of singles competition at the Oceania Tennis Championships in Cairns.

In the women's draw, New Caledonia's Elodie Launay and Lindsey Moto have won both of their matches, along with Fiji's Mulan Kamoe and Australian Helen Parsons.

In the men's draw, Martin Labrosse from New Caledonia and Australia's Adam Alessandrini are top of Group A, Vanuatu's Samuel Journet and another Aussie Andrew Tavella top Group B, Guillaume Monot from New Caledonia and PNG's Mark Gibbons are undefeated in Group C and Vanuatu's Aymeric Mara and Heve Kelley from Tahiti are setting the standard in Group D.

The men's group winners and top two finishers in the two women's groups will advance to tomorrow's Saturday's semi finals.

Meanwhile Australian pair Alessandrini and Tavella are also into Friday's men's doubles final against Heve Kelley and Australia's Jarrod Bruce.

New Caledonian pair Launay and Moto take on Fiji duo Ruby Coffin and Mulan Kamoe in the first women's semi, with Australia's Helen Parsons and Nicole Sewell up against New Caledonia's Lysiane Moto and Annasis Saipele from American Samoa in the other.
