In Samoa, a public holiday has been declared for today, following the successful hosting of the 3rd Small Islands Developing States conference last week.

Nearly all public servants including chief executive officers and assistant CEOs had been assigned to work at the venue to serve the delegates of the four day international meeting.

The Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, in addressing the country last week, thanked everyone for their support in the preparations.

He thanked government employees for their hard work and loyalty to enable Samoa to achieve a high level of service during the conference.
