The Department of Public Lands in the Northern Marianas has welcomed a $60million US dollar increase to a planned casino resort in Tinian.

The Saipan Tribune reported that a Macau-based investor, Alter City Group, has increased its planned investment from $300 million to $360 million dollars.

The Tribune reports the Lands Secretary Pete Tenorio as saying it is not unusual for investors to scale up projected investments after an onsite evaluation.

Alter City Group plans to build its casino resort at Puntan Diablo, also known as Nasarino, on Tinian.
