Vanuatu parliament session delayed

3:02 pm on 17 November 2014

Vanuatu's parliament is expected to start its final session for 2014 tomorrow.

The session has been scheduled to start today but has been delayed to give more time for MPs to read the 21 bills up for debate.

Last week, the opposition raised concern over the late release of the list of 21 bills.

The session has also been delayed until the prime minister, Joe Natuman, arrives back in the country.

Mr Natuman has been in New Caledonia where he was invited by the government of France to attend the official visit of its president, Francois Hollande.
