Sport: Bodden Town full of confidence for President's Cup debut

Cayman Islands football champions Bodden Town are full of confidence ahead of their OFC President's Cup debut.

The tournament brings together six club and national group teams from the Oceania, CONCACAF and Asian confederations.

Bodden Town have won their national championship for the past two seasons and captain Ramon Sealy says coming out to New Zealand is a chance to get some more international exposure.

The team open their campaign against the Singapore Under 23 team, who suffered a 4-0 defeat to Auckland City on Monday.

Ramon Sealy believes his team can contend for the title.

"I don't think we would have came here if we didn't think we could win so we have to put our heads down, work hard and hopefully the results can go our way. I have confidence in my team, of how we've been playing recently that we can get the results that we need to win the tournament. [There are] teams from all over the world/over the region so it's going to be different from what we are used to at home but maybe we can learn something from them as well and take it back home and use it in our league".

Busaiteen from Bahrain also begin their campaign on Wednesday night against Vanuatu's Amicale FC.
