Sport: NZ, Aus basketballers still setting pace in Fiji

New Zealand and Australia continue to set the pace at the Oceania Junior basketball champs in Suva.

The New Zealand men thrashed Papua New Guinea 85-29, with PNG starting the match with only five fit players, while the Junior Tall Ferns were too strong for Tahiti.

The Australian men's team thumped Samoa by 104 points and the women were too strong for PNG.

The Fiji men's team are still without a win after going down to Tahiti while New Caledonia got off the mark with a big win over the Solomon Islands.

Meanwhile the Fiji women suffered their first defeat against the Solomon Islands and Guam made it two from two against New Caledonia.
