The Papua New Guinea Hunters have named 10 new faces in their 26-man squad for the upcoming Queensland Cup rugby league season.
The Hunters finished sixth in their inaugural campaign in 2014, missing out on a spot in the playoffs by one point.
Head coach Michael Marum says the coaching staff is focused on developing the new talent and blending it with the experienced players returning from last year.
He says the players are bigger, stronger and fitter thanks to having a full pre-season and know what to expect with a full season in the competition under their belts.
The only question marks in the squad are Wartovo Puara and Thompson Teteh, who have been named but are currently on trial with NRL champions South Sydney.
Stanton Albert is among the players who are not returning, having signed a two-year deal with the Penrith Panthers last year.
Garry Lo and Jason Tali have also left for English club Gateshead Thunder, who are coached by Kumuls legend Stanley Gene.
The Hunters only trial match is against Ipswich Jets on February the 21st , with the official season opener against the South's Logan Magpies on March the 8th.
