A first of its kind shark and stingray marine park project in the Northern Marianas is set to open this weekend.
In November last year, the administration of governor Eloy Inos gave the go-signal for Sea Touch Saipan to build the shark and stingray marine park project at the beachfront of a resort on Saipan.
The Sea Touch agreement is a landmark deal since it is the first time the CNMI has leased its submerged lands after President Barack Obama returned control to the territory over its sea bed to the three mile limit in 2013.
