The Niuafo'ou airport in Tonga's far north has been closed for nearly a week due to heavy rainfall on the island.
The Tonga Daily News reports that the Real Tonga airline initially cancelled flights to the island last week.
Real Tonga says due to heavy rainfall the runway was and remains unserviceable so the airline is not able to operate any services.
The airline has apologised for any inconvenience but says it will continue to monitor the situation.
