The leader of Fiji's opposition in Parliament says the Secretary General of Parliament should revisit the budget allocations as soon as possible.

Ro Teimumu Kepa says the National Federation Party will receive less than $28,000 US dollars, which is not enough to pay one researcher.
The Minister of Finance, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, has said the system is fair, as each MP receives the same amount, but opposition parties say most of the Fiji First MPs are ministers and have their expenses already paid.
Ro Teimumu Kepa says the opposition received significant votes at the election, and they need reasonable funding to serve them.
"We need the secretary general to re-look at the budgetary allocation that should be provided for us in terms of our constituency visits, the constituency offices that we need to have and the staff that we need to have to work effectively so that we have an opposition in parliament that can work."
