Fiji's Opposition Whip faces charges in court

Fiji's Opposition Whip has been charged by the Independent Commission Against Corruption with one count of failing to declare liabilities.

The FBC reports Ratu Isoa Tikoca appeared in the Suva magistrates court this afternoon.

He has been released on bail to reappear in court on May 27 for the second phase of disclosure.

SODELPA parliamentarians, Viliame Gavoka and Josefa Dulakivereta paid just under 500 US dollars each for bail.

Tikoca who is represented by Nadi lawyer, Faizal Koya, has surrendered his passport to the court as part of the bail condition.
