The Samoa Under 20s has been outclassed 36-14 by New Zealand in their latest match at the Oceania Junior Championship on the Gold Coast.

Uini Fetalaiga gave the Baby Manu an early lead with a try off the back of a turnover but the men in black slowly gained control of the match and scored four first half tries to lead 24-7 at the interval.

Samoa again started the stronger in the second spell, with Marco Fepulea'i diving over from the base of the ruck to score Samoa's second try, cutting the deficit to ten points, before the Baby Blacks sealed victory with a further two touchdowns.

Samoa were beaten 33-10 by Australia last weekend and face Japan on Saturday in their final match before next month's World Cup in Italy.

Meanwhile the Fiji Under 20s rugby team have rounded out preparations for the World Rugby Junior Trophy in Portugal with a 31-12 victory over the Counties Manakau Junior Cavaliers.
