Sport: Toa Samoa gets first start

11:44 am on 13 May 2015

Toa Samoa international Dominique Peyroux will start in the centres for the suspended Konrad Hurrell in the New Zealand Warriors' NRL clash at Parramatta this weekend.

Tongan international Hurrell is unavailable for the next three games after the Warriors decided not to contest the grade three dangerous contact offence he was charged with after his collision with Cronulla forward Anthony Tupou.

Warriors assistant coach Andrew Webster says they weren't confident of getting Hurrell's incident downgraded.

"Obviously it was accidental and the Sharks player got his head in the wrong spot but we just felt like we needed to move on and we didn't feel like we were going to win that anyway. Dom Peyroux gets his opportunity to come in on the right side. Dom's practiced a lot there this year and I think he's really really excited to get his first start."
