Parliamentarians in Tonga are taking part in a workshop to build their good governance skills and boost their efforts to confront corruption.

The speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Lord Tu'ivakano, told the MPs he welcomed the opportunity for them to build their knowledge of anti-corruption.
Radio Tonga reports him saying they must recognise the importance of combating corruption.
He says good governance legislation can help stamp out corrupt practices and uphold the rule of law that underpins democratic societies.
The United Nations Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption Project, is a four-year joint initiative funded by the Australian government.
