The Governor of the Northern Marianas, Eloy Inos, has advised people on Rota to prepare for Typhoon Dolphin, which is expected to hit on Friday.
The Typhoon is expected to arrive in Rota and nearby Guam with gusts of about 240 kilometres an hour.
People are advised to ensure they have adequate food, water and fuel.
A typhoon watch is in effect for Saipan and Tinian as of yesterday and may be upgraded to typhoon warning today.
