Oceania Football says it respects and supports FIFA's decision making process in banning its former President Reynald Temarii for eight years.

He was found to have violated several FIFA ethics codes in accepting more than US$300,000 from former Asian football boss Mohamed bin Hammam.

In an interview with the Depeche de Tahiti newspaper, Temarii confirmed his role as General Secretary of the Tahiti Football Federation is over, with the Executive Committee to decide his replacement.

OFC General Secretary Tai Nicholas says the regional body will continue to offer its support to the Tahiti Federation in any way that it is required.
