Sport: Argentina Under 20s to play in Tahiti

11:43 am on 22 May 2015

The Argentina Under 20 football team is to play two matches in Tahiti before arriving in New Zealand for the World Cup.

The South Americans have won a record six World Cups at the Under 20 level, most recently in 2007.

They will play the first of two matches against Tahiti Nui this evening, and again on Monday.

A spokesperson for the Argentina team, Daniel Yamamoto, told the Tahiti Football website they were invited to play other big teams in Australia and elsewhere but opted for Tahiti after their Beach Soccer team enjoyed their time during the 2013 World Cup.
