Dawn FM reports that in a brief ceremony at the ABG House of Representatives, President Momis announced that Patrick Nisira would continue as vice President of the autonomous Papua New Guinea region.

He also presented the new member for Peit, Josephine Getsi, who is the first woman to be elected a member of parliament in an open seat, as his caretaker government's choice of women's representative.

A full cabinet is to be appointed next week, when ministerial portfolios are also expected to be allocated.

Mr Momis said the people of Bougainville and his government must work together in adherence to the Bougainville Peace Agreement towards a peaceful self-determination referendum process.
