Fiji Airways has appointed South African Andre Viljoen as its new chief executive.
Mr Viljoen has been running Air Mauritius since 2010 and takes up his Fiji Airways post before before October this year.
The chairman of the Fiji Airways board, Nalin Patel, says Mr Viljoen had transformed Air Mauritius, restored it to profitability.
He replaces Stefan Pichler who has moved to Air Berlin.
