A policeman has been arrested in American Samoa on allegations of rape involoving a nineteen year old woman.

The officer, who was not on duty at the time of the alleged incident, was taken into custody on Saturday.
The victim claims the officer forced himself on her without her consent.
The officer has been with the force since 2007 and is assigned to the Traffic Division.
The Commissioner of Public Safety, Save Liuato, says the alleged incident is still under investigation.
