The American Samoa Government has been reinbursed for just over $US100,000 dollars of expenses incurred when Governor Lolo Maliga was ill last year.

Lolo needed hospital treatment in Washington DC with subsequent medical care in Honolulu and was out of the territory for six months.

Samoa News this week revealed that Lolo's total bill was just over $300,000.

The bulk of this covered by his insurance and the rest paid by the territorial government, which was later reimbursed by the the American Samoa Workmen's Compensation Commission.
