The Provincial Police Commander says they have also had reports of a second death.

Asian-owned shops, which make up three quarters of the commercial sector, are closed today as a precaution.

Up to 500 people rioted and looted mainly Asian shops in apparent anger at their dominance commerce in the city.

Orginally a smaller group had planned to protest against alleged land grabs and capitalism.
