Guam's Homeland Security Office and Civil Defense are calling for people to stay off the roads if possible with heavy rain forecast late this afternoon local time.
The weather office has issue an advisory saying thunderstorms could cause urban and small stream flooding.
It has also warned of the danger of lightning strikes and advised that as of early afternoon 50 millimetres of rain had already fallen.
Officials says if travel is necessary people need to exercise extreme caution.
