Fiji police are investigating the death of an Asian national on board a fishing vessel in French Polynesian waters.
FBC News reports a police spokesperson saying the vessel bound for Suva ran aground on a reef near Gau yesterday with the crew needing to be rescued by a passenger boat.
The police say the man is believed to have been killed on the 30th of July by another crew member who is now in police custody.
