12:18 pm on 16 September 2015

Trent Merrin will captain the Australian Prime Minister's XIII in their rugby league clash with Papua New Guinea on Saturday week.

The New South Wales and Australia rep will lead a team that includes PNG born hooker James Segeyaro, who played for the Kumuls in the same fixture four years ago.

Fiji international Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Cook Islands born Tepai Moeroa also start in the front row.

They will face a team selected from the Digicel Cup domestic competition, with PNG Hunters players ruled out of contention due to their participation in the Queensland Cup finals series.

The PM's XIII are undefeated in the fixture since its inception in 2005, and toppled the Kumuls 34-16 last year.

The match will be played at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
