Parts of Saipan still without power 2 months after storm.

More than a quarter of Saipan is still without power two months after Typhoon Soudelor devastated the Northern Marianas Island.

The Marianas Variety reports that the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation has restored power to 73 percent of Saipan.

The CUC says there are lots of logistical issues but they are hoping to have 90 percent restored by the end of the month.

764 new power poles have been ordered for replacement with over half of them expected to arrive in the next couple of weeks.
