An interagency taskforce has been created in the Northern Marianas to combat the spread of methamphetamine.
Governor Eloy Inos says the taskforce will address the territory's growing problem with the drug by promoting collaboration and intelligence sharing between agencies.
Lieutenant Governor Ralph Torres will chair the taskforce, which includes the heads of the Departments of Public Safety and Corrections, Homeland Security, Customs, the Ports Authority.
It will also include senior staff from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, Community Guidance Centre, the public school system, and members of the judiciary and legislature.
