Fiji netball vice-captain Maria Lutua has signed with English Superleague franchise Yorkshire Jets.

The 26 year old has amassed 52 caps for the Pearls since her international debut in 2009 and played in two World Cups.

She was part of the Celtic Dragons training squad five years ago and says it's exciting to be returning to the UK.

Lutua told the club's website she is passionate about promoting netball and believes this could be an opening to allow more girls from Fiji to play at that level in the future.
