CNMI power lines restored

Power has been restored to all households in the Northern Marianas - almost four months after Typhoon Soudelor's destruction.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation has met its before Thanksgiving deadline of restoring power lines on Saipan as the island continues to go back to normalcy.

With all primary and secondary lines now online, the CUC can provide power to all its consumers, but some households and businesses still have problems with their transformers, meters and drop lines.

Saipan was plunged into darkness after Soudelor made landfall on August the 2nd, downing more than 800 power poles.
