Trial date set in Fiji separatism case

A trial date has been set in Fiji for the 16 people accused of trying to establish a sovereign Christian state in the Nadroga and Navosa regions.

The Lautoka High Court is to try the 16 on February the 2nd on charges of sedition and inciting communal antagonism.

The accused have been free on bail for nearly a month.

They were charged in August following a police investigation going back to last year.
